Assistant Professor

Biography

I hold a PhD in Earth and Environmental Sciences and have more than 15 years of experience teaching, mentoring, and inspiring students in marine biology and related disciplines. Throughout my academic career, I have taught a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses in biology and environmental conservation, developed both laboratory and lecture materials, and supervised undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students. My students are my greatest legacy, and I am deeply proud of their achievements and growth. My research interests span microbiology, cell biology, phycology, algal and cyanobacterial ecophysiology, marine botany, and plant interactions. Among all living organisms, however, picocyanobacteria hold a special place in my heart. Beyond academia, I am passionate about plants and fungi and fascinated by their remarkable diversity, beneficial properties, and potential applications. When I am not in the office, classroom, or laboratory, you will most likely find me wandering through a forest or meadow, searching for botanical and fungal treasures and enjoying the thrill of discovering something new.
